This senior individual contributor is primarily responsible for driving and leading strategic data-informed decisions, leading data and information collection on targeted variables in an established systematic fashion, leading data preparation for analytic efforts, and leading highly complex data analysis interpretation. This position leads and drives the execution of creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes across functional areas, business and/or clinical lines, leads the design, roadmap development, implementation, and automation of business and reporting solutions, and consults and provides expertise on the development of advanced analytical and/or statistical models enabling informed business decisions.

  • Leads routine data refresh and update; leads the development and/or delivery of highly complex tools for electronic data collection; provides senior-level user training, support, and documentation.
  • Leads data preparation for analytic efforts by integrating and consolidating data; ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Profiles data inaccuracies and recommends process improvements or system changes to enhance overall quality of the data.
  • Partners with stakeholders and source system owners to identify root causes and resolve data quality issues as appropriate; cleans and creates final data set(s) for analysis.
  • Leads and drives the execution of creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes across functional areas, business and/or clinical lines by reviewing data design and analysis of more junior employees.
  • Defines and calculates complex metrics to be analyzed; defines, calculates, and validates algorithms; leads and conducts complex analyses, including inferential and/or predictive statistics.
  • Leads the design, roadmap development, implementation, and automation of business and reporting solutions by partnering with key stakeholders to advise in their design, planning, and implementation while ensuring consistency and coherency.
  • Reviews data and results; designs data reports, visualizations, and/or interactive Business Intelligence (BI) reports; reports to stakeholders on key findings.
  • Identifies needs for the development and implementation of additional reporting solutions; ensures completion of documentation as appropriate.
  • Leads highly complex data analysis interpretation by providing support to team on data interpretation; applies findings to contextual settings.
  • Develops insights, reports, and presentations telling a compelling story to stakeholders to enable and influence decision making; leads peer reviews.
  • Provides context related to data interpretations and/or limitations as appropriate; shares insights with internal and/or external subject matter experts.
  • Consults and provides expertise on the development of advanced analytical and/or statistical models enabling informed business decisions by determining data and analytical requirements.
  • Translates models and gains stakeholder buy-in for implementation; provides support in the creation of models leading to actionable insights; tests, refines, and validates models.
  • Drives and leads strategic data-informed decisions by consulting with senior-level clients and executive leadership to identify and clarify key business needs across functional areas, business and/or clinical lines.
  • Leads the development of outcomes and process measures; translates complex business requirements; determines data/information needs and data collection methods.
  • Leads and guides the development of complex analysis plans; evaluates the impact of business decisions on clients, customers, and/or members.
  • Builds and leverages partnerships with clients and staff to identify opportunities and methods to improve efficiencies with analysis; ensures end-users are supported and trained; reviews documentation of processes and deliverables.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years experience in data analytics or a directly related field.
  • Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.
