This individual contributor Business Intelligence (BI) position is responsible for a combination of business analytics, data mining, data visualization, and data tools and infrastructure. The role focuses on transforming data into actionable insights to support strategic and operational business decisions at Kaiser Permanente. The position requires leveraging BI tools to analyze data sets and present findings through visually driven reports and dashboards, ultimately aiding in data-driven decision-making across the organization.

  • Support and develop analytical models to enable informed business decisions by determining data and analytical requirements.
  • Gather data systematically by validating sources and extracting data across various platforms.
  • Support data analysis interpretation and develop reports and presentations to influence decision-making.
  • Develop, implement, and automate business and reporting solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Prepare data for analysis by consolidating, reviewing, and cleaning data sets.
  • Consult with clients to identify business needs and develop analysis plans to support data-informed decisions.
  • Execute creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes by identifying metrics and conducting various statistical analyses.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in relational and dimensional data modeling.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience applying folder and data security.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience programming with Cognos or other BI tools, including at least one (1) year of experience using Cognos.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field, along with a minimum of three (3) years experience in data analytics or a directly related field.
  • Knowledge of Data Modules
