The Data Quality Specialist at McLane Global will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data. You will focus on identifying and resolving data issues, develop and implement data quality standards, and manage data assets to maintain data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Excel
  • Eager to learn with the ability to learn fast and retain information
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to search databases and use critical thinking (SQL query)
  • Ability to complete work assignments in an accurate and timely manner and escalate issues as needed
  • Ability to identify and resolve data issues effectively.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and identify minor inconsistencies.
  • Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations
  • Verbal and Written communication skills
  • Proven working experience in data analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in Microsoft Dynamic platform (D365 Financial & Operations and Supply Chain)

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, high level of accuracy, logical thinking, professional ethics, and effective team interaction.
  • Interact with all parties involved in data setup and resolution, collaborating with sales and logistics teams to ensure seamless processes and error-free data.
  • Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
  • Scrub and clean data by removing corrupted entries and fixing coding errors and related issues.
  • Develop and maintain databases, reorganizing data into readable formats.
  • Perform analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
  • Filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct problems.
  • Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets for diagnosis and prediction.
  • Assign numerical values to essential business functions to assess and compare business performance over time.
  • Analyze local, national, and global trends impacting the organization and industry.
  • Prepare reports for management, highlighting trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Train teams on data standards, privacy, and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional departments.
  • Map out and document work processes, creating SOPs.
  • Perform other tasks as required for business needs
