The Manager, Data Quality position is a critical role within the Business Insurance Analytics & Research team, responsible for supporting Data Quality efforts across Business Insurance. This role involves planning and executing Data Management activities, partnering with various teams to ensure the adoption of Data Quality strategies and principles, and driving improvements in data quality, efficiency, and insights. The position requires a blend of technical and business acumen, focusing on collaboration with agile teams to enhance data quality standards and governance.

  • Support Data Quality efforts across Business Insurance.
  • Execute on a Data Quality Roadmap to improve overall data quality maturity.
  • Create transparency around data quality controls and track remediation efforts.
  • Guide agile teams in adopting Data Quality policies and best practices.
  • Develop training materials to elevate the importance of Data Quality.
  • Perform data quality analysis and communicate results effectively.
  • Influence the expansion of the governance operating model and support the development of roles for data stewards.
  • Assist in the creation and governance of taxonomies.
  • Support awareness and training for agile teams in applying metadata standards.
  • Promote a knowledge sharing culture within the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree or three years of relevant data and analytics, and/or data management experience.
  • Prior experience with ETL/Data Integration tools and Cloud Computing Technologies.
  • Experience with SQL, Teradata, Python, Hive, MicroStrategy, Ab Initio, Messaging, NoSQL.
  • Understanding of metadata management, including lineage and cataloging.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present information effectively.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide strategic direction.
  • Experience with data quality tools and capabilities such as profiling and validation.
  • Ability to think strategically and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects.
