Requirements

  • 8-10 years with overall experience, with hands-on proven experience in data management, Audit and Issues management and Data Governance.
  • Effective communicator and problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset, results oriented with the ability to work under high pressure.
  • Ability to support multiple workstreams and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong project management, people and organization skills.
  • 4-5 years experience with Excel.
  • 1-2 years experience in Data Analysis example SQL skills or similar is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • As part of the Data Governance team work across various pillars of the data office including identifying data elements, measuring data quality, reporting data issues and working towards complying with the overall Data Management policy and BCBS 239 requirements.
  • Assist in data issues identification and classification and partner with various stakeholders in registering / opening data issues (Self Identified / Audit / Compliance).
  • Work closely with Auditors and other Control personnel to determine MSIIs / audit points.
  • Assist the broker dealer entity in correctly identifying the overall issue owner, deliverables and milestones, accountability of each deliverable and maintain oversight, governance and status reporting of such issues across various committees, working groups and other meetings.
  • Work closely with business unit risk manager across the lifecycle of the Issue Management process from identification to final resolution, chase issue owners and provide regular status updates.
  • Assist in identifying data risks in RCSAs across the broker dealer entity (adhoc risk / controls reviews, group self-assessments, and controls testing).
  • Work across various groups and the data office at the holding company to report data and manage issues.
  • Take ownership of issues related to the team from planning to resolution.
  • Identify Key Data Elements across the broker dealer entity and key regulatory reports and ensure data quality.
  • Work on reporting and developing data quality rules with different functions like Risk (Market and Credit), Finance and Regulatory Reporting, Static and Reference teams, Regulatory Operations and consolidate them in a centralized place.
  • Assist Data Management lead and the Data Officer in Sr Management communication and reporting to the regional Chief Data Officer.
  • Build Management reports reflecting the quality of RWA data and disseminate to Liquidity / ALCO and senior management for making timely business critical decisions.
