About The Position

The Data Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy and reliability of our organization's data. Establish and enforce data governance best practices, including data lineage, data cataloging, and data dictionary management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and software engineers, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, data models and processes.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Data Quality Engineer or in a similar role
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a relevant field
• Strong knowledge of data analysis, validation, and cleansing techniques
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills
• Great team player, ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management
• Proven ability to work independently, make decisions and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices to maintain data integrity and compliance

Responsibilities

• Create and enforce data quality standards and measures
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and clean data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Perform quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data
• Design and implement effective testing strategies for data systems
• Maintain documentation for data quality procedures and benchmarks
• Collaborate with data scientists, data architects, and other team members to resolve data issues
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with data privacy regulations
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
