About The Position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Product Management Consultant to be part of the Technology Finance Shared Services Team. Our team supports systems, data and processes that are utilized across Technology Finance. You will work hands-on in the Apptio tool suite, primarily Planning and Cost Transparency/Studio, to enable technology cost transparency, planning, and attribution. Partnering with senior TBM analysts and stakeholders, you will support month-end deliverables, execute recurring refresh routines, and improve attribution and planning processes, with a focus on subledger inputs and product attribution. This role is ideal for someone with a strong data mindset who enjoys problem solving and building repeatable, trusted outputs. In this role you will: Execute day-to-day work in Apptio Planning and Cost Transparency/Studio, including data ingestion, configuration, and refresh validation. Support attribution logic and model structures that connect subledger data to products/consumers (e.g., drivers, mapping tables, rule-based assignments) Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and variance analysis to ensure outputs are accurate, explainable, and audit-ready Support outbound data exchange from Apptio (e.g., APIs/extracts) to downstream consumers; assist with basic troubleshooting and validation of delivered datasets Create and maintain repeatable workflows (runbooks/checklists) for refresh cycles and month-end support. Identify AI use cases which can be applied to enhance processes Perform ad-hoc reporting as needed to support subledger, forecast, and expense attribution processes

Requirements

  • 2+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in Finance or Technology Organizations preferred
  • Ability to follow repeatable processes, maintain documentation, and operate in a control-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with data integration and data flow concepts (e.g., connectors, file-based loads, APIs, basic transformations, and data validation/reconciliation).
  • Exposure to Technology Finance, TBM, unit economics, product/service costing, or showback/chargeback concepts.
  • Familiarity with data governance basics: definitions, lineage, ownership, and change management.
  • Working proficiency with Excel for reconciliation, validation, and analysis.
  • Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills; able to partner effectively in a complex, matrixed environment and build productive stakeholder relationships.
