About The Position

The Data Processor will be crucial in the bank's financial accounting and record-keeping processes. Responsibilities include computing, classifying, and recording financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting internal processes and customer transactions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Attending training on bank/job-related topics.
  • Ability to meticulously review and ensure accuracy in financial records and transactions.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies.
  • Capability to identify and resolve financial transaction and customer request issues.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in financial processing.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while handling transactions and inquiries.
  • Detail oriented

  • Able to handle confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a bank or financial institution is preferred but not mandatory
  • Candidates with experience in data processing, financial accounting, bookkeeping, or related roles will be given special consideration.
  • A demonstrated understanding of financial transactions, record-keeping, and accuracy in data processing is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine tasks such as calculating, posting, balancing, and verifying general ledger and other financial transactions and accounts to maintain accurate records.
  • Perform financial accounting duties, including bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings on business transactions conducted by other employees.
  • Serve as a backup for various job duties within the department.
  • Provide customer support for wire transfers, ACH electronic payments, stop payments, hold mail statements, returns NSF, chargebacks, and processing/posting of transactions.
  • Participate as able with branch marketing and community involvement events.
  • Additional duties as assigned as they relate to the position.
