About The Position

The Data Processing Specialist at UAB Medicine is responsible for providing advanced data processing and desktop publishing services to the Tele-ICU and Tele-Acute Nursing departments. This role involves data entry, report generation, database management, and support for software installation and training, all under minimal supervision.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Use various software programs for data processing and desktop publishing services.
• Enter data into computer systems and generate reports and tables from input data.
• Create and maintain database files for patient information.
• Monitor and reconcile multiple patient databases.
• Handle phone calls from outside hospitals and enter information into the database.
• Administer tests for physicians as needed.
• Install software packages and train office personnel in their use.
