About The Position

The Data Privacy Manager at Integra LifeSciences is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's data privacy policies and practices. This role aims to safeguard personal data, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and uphold the privacy rights of individuals. The manager will build a comprehensive privacy program that minimizes risk and ensures the confidentiality of protected information, while also acting as the primary contact for data protection authorities.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of EU data privacy and data protection regulation.
  • Good understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation worldwide.
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills, including skills in drafting procedures and processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Work cross-functionally with Information Systems, Legal, and Business counterparts.
  • Sufficient knowledge of information technology and data management systems.
  • Strong change and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to undertake large, long-term projects and develop alternative methods to complete them.
  • Remains calm and focused in pressure situations.

  • Sound judgment combined with comfort and willingness to make decisions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced skills with Power BI, Excel, and Cognos.
  • Possesses at least 5 to 10 years' experience in a corporate compliance function.
  • Experience with healthcare compliance and the U.S. Physician Payment Sunshine Act preferred.
  • College degree; degree in Finance or Information Services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain data privacy policies and procedures that comply with applicable laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards.
  • Identify potential data privacy risks and develop mitigation strategies to address the risks.
  • Implement measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with the GDPR.
  • Compile and maintain a listing of all applications in use by Integra Employees and understand the data being stored, accessed, and reported.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure data is properly classified in systems for tracking and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Information Systems, Human Resources, and Legal to ensure a unified approach to data privacy.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities and other regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance of Integra's Information Systems and procedures with all relevant data privacy laws and policies.
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to review projects and related data for compliance with local data privacy laws.
  • Manage and conduct ongoing reviews of Integra's privacy governance framework.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training to various business functions.
  • Coordinate and conduct data privacy audits.
  • Monitor changes to local privacy laws and make recommendations to the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Collaborate with Information Security and Human Resources to raise employee awareness of data privacy and security issues.
  • Provide reports to management on the status of data privacy compliance and initiatives.
