Your Tasks Own and evolve our AWS-based data platform to be cost-efficient, easy to change, secure by design, and adaptable to the fast-moving AI landscape Rapidly evaluate new data requests using AWS serverless and open-source alternatives Build and extend infrastructure with Terraform, and migrate legacy setups to IaC Support end-to-end ML workflows by simplifying training, deployment, and monitoring pipelines Reduce cross-cloud complexity and foster efficient collaboration between AWS and GCP platforms Drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and resilient system design - with the confidence to make changes that may impact core business operations OUR TEAM Our team enables secure and seamless access to data to build data products for HolidayCheck. Our clients are data scientists, business analysts and product owners. We touch almost every team in HolidayCheck. We are an international team at multiple locations across Central Europe Our main programming languages are Python and Scala Our tech stack includes, but is not limited to Airflow, Apache Spark/EMR, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes (EKS), DevOps (ArgoCD), Terraform, Kafka

Requirements

You are eager to learn new technologies, also looking beyond the AWS world
You are experienced with AWS from an Ops perspective and worked with Kubernetes, VPCs, Terraform, ArgoCD
You value security and quality
You have a good understanding of concepts in (big) data processing
In short, you are passionate about processing data!

Responsibilities

Own and evolve our AWS-based data platform to be cost-efficient, easy to change, secure by design, and adaptable to the fast-moving AI landscape
Rapidly evaluate new data requests using AWS serverless and open-source alternatives
Build and extend infrastructure with Terraform, and migrate legacy setups to IaC
Support end-to-end ML workflows by simplifying training, deployment, and monitoring pipelines
Reduce cross-cloud complexity and foster efficient collaboration between AWS and GCP platforms
Drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and resilient system design - with the confidence to make changes that may impact core business operations
