About The Position

Responsible for Alteryx platform management, platform support and administration. This role focuses on ensuring smooth user experiences, maintaining platform stability, and helping drive adoption of Alteryx across the organization. This position will onsite, office-centric (5 days a week), based in a Truist core location (Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four to seven years of experience in systems engineering or administration or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows Shell Programming, Python, Git, Networking, Storage Systems, data/BI/ content/ document composition platforms
  • Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects.
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related degree and eight years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Knowledge of specific applications, technology platforms, programming languages, systems, or business segments
  • Banking or financial services experience.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Solid foundation in engineering Data or BI, platform architecture and design with strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Professional experience managing resilient platforms or services and scaling at an enterprise level
  • Experience with Open Source tools and frameworks
  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience using web servers, application containers, caching technologies
  • Experience with build tools, such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests
  • Experience with Windows and PowerShell
  • Knowledge of HashiCorp vaulting solution
  • Knowledge of MongoDB
  • Knowledge of SQL Server (potential future state)

  • Training & User Enablement – Assist in delivering training sessions, demos, and office hours
  • Develops, maintains, and improves deployment pipelines for the platform.
  • Maintains and ensures operational metadata (logs, performance metrics, etc.) are available for diagnostics.
  • Implement effective technical solutions by providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
  • Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production.
  • Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.
  • Provide solutions to solve problems of moderate to high complexity and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information.
  • Lead small data engineering projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.
