Position Summary In this role, you will specialize in the design and development of Evolutia’s data infrastructure, with a focus on LIMS integration, relational database management, cloud- native dep loyment and internal tools. You will work closely with scientists and bioinformaticians to ensure experimental data is well-captured, traceable, searchable, and usable across teams. While experience with biology pipelines is helpful, your primary focus will be building and scaling structured data systems and services that power Evolutia's enzy me and strain engi neering platform s .

  • Design and maintain relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) to track experiments, sample metadata, assay results, and process history
  • Develop or integrate LIMS systems to support high-throughput screening, cloning, protein expression, and sequencing workflows
  • Build and deploy backend services/APIs to allow internal tools and analysis pipelines to interact with lab data
  • Partner with wet lab and automation teams to map experimental workflows into digital data models
  • Design robust data schemas that support traceability, versioning, and lineage tracking
  • Implement ETL pipelines to ingest and normalize data from instruments, robots, and analysis tools
  • Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, Batch, etc.) for hosting applications and services
  • Collaborate with data science and bioinformatics teams to ensure that data is accessible, consistent, and queryable for downstream analysis
  • Monitor data integrity and system performance, and proactively improve reliability and scalability
