Data Modeler / Engineer Role Definition: Design and implement data models for relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases. Collaborate with business and IT teams to deliver scalable data solutions and ensure best practices in data architecture.

Requirements

Data modeling (ER, dimensional, normalization)
SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
Data modeling tools: ERwin, ER/Studio, Power Designer, etc
ETL, Informatica, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Data governance, analytics, problem-solving
Experience with big data platforms for performance and cost like Snowflake and Cloudera.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Understanding of data governance and metadata standards.

Responsibilities

Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various platforms (RDBMS, ODS, data marts, data lakes).
Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
Define and enforce data modeling standards and best practices.
Create reusable schemas for Snowflake data marts, ensuring alignment with business processes.
Maintain data dictionaries and metadata to support governance and auditability.
