Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in product, data, or business analysis roles - preferably in financial services, data platforms, or software development.
  • Experience gathering requirements, writing technical documentation, and translating business needs into user stories.
  • Familiarity with modern data technologies and architecture, including Starburst (Trino) or similar query engines, AWS data services, especially S3 and Glue, Kafka, Hive/Iceberg table formats, APIs, Data lake architecture and batch/streaming data pipelines.
  • Proficiency with SQL for data exploration.
  • Hands-on experience with agile delivery tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Ratings agency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to own backlog and work prioritization, aligning tasks to agile stories and the development roadmap.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement, synthesizing user feedback to shape the product roadmap.
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator with engineers and product teams to support backlog grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning.
  • Agile/Scrum training or certification (e.g., CSPO, CSM, SAFe).

Responsibilities

  • Drive product innovation and scalability: Reporting to the Data Marketplace Product Owner, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping how the enterprise discovers, accesses, and governs data—enabling experimentation, faster time to insights, and safe innovation at scale.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions by gathering requirements, documenting user stories, and aligning stakeholders around enhancements that support the organization's data mesh strategy and digital transformation.
  • Champion user feedback and improve usability by collaborating with data producers, consumers, and the Data Marketplace Services team to analyze pain points, track adoption, and iterate on solutions that foster trust and ease of use.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that new features meet user needs, perform as intended, and comply with governance and broader organizational standards.
  • Support agile product operations by helping manage the squad's backlog, refining tickets, preparing sprint materials, and ensuring delivery progress is well-documented.
