Abacus Technology is seeking a Data Manager to support information management and analysis activities at Wright-Patterson AFB. This is a full-time position.

  • Provide engineering data management support for program requirements to include preparing or updating and maintaining any engineering data management plan.
  • Provide technical support in the preparation of and conduct of engineering data guidance conferences and engineering drawing In-Process Reviews (IPRs).
  • Provide configuration/data management-related research, analyses, studies, documentation, briefing development, and assistance in briefing delivery as required to support mission partner activities.
  • Develop and manage the deficiency reporting/material improvement project review board processes, to include drafting the deficiency reporting charter.
  • Assist with tracking all DRs, problem change requests, and test problem reports throughout the development of the system.
  • 10+ years experience in data or configuration management including at least 3 years working in a DoD environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience with the configuration management process and engineering documents.
  • Must understand distribution statements and FAR/DFARS data rights clauses.
  • Experience evaluating change proposals for impacts to data.
  • Experience monitoring the delivery and approval of contract technical data to include report generation and follow up actions and record maintenance in the AF Generation, Receiving, Integrated Tracking System (GRITS).
  • Experience performing HW and SW configuration audits.
  • Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple environments.
  • Experience developing briefings for management.
  • Able to enter and manipulate data in a database.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite software required.
  • Must have skills and experience necessary to work closely with program management, systems engineers, quality managers, and design engineers in an integrated product team environment.
  • Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
