The Team: CFO Data Management is a centralized data management team focused on improving data, strategy, and controls across the CFO organization. CFO Data Management is responsible for providing complete and well-controlled data that enables accurate reporting and value-driven decision making. Additionally, the CFO DM team works to shape and influence the Enterprise Data Strategy, Governance & Operations (EDSGO) policies, strategy, and framework for how the company manages data. CFO DM partners across all CFO Group's data domains and data consumers in strategic design and implementation of solutions specific to respective regulatory and non-regulatory reporting. The CFO DM Data Request Management (DRM) process and team supports data incident management activities across all data domains to mitigate operational & regulatory risk and improve data quality. The process is designed to identify, classify, prioritize, track, and remediate all data incidents impacting CFO governed reports. Role Description: This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices. This job is also responsible for helping manage the CFO Data Request Management process, along with facilitating Report Owner and Data Domain engagement, driving timely communication and enabling sound planning and decision making. Key responsibilities include engaging business, technology and change management stakeholders to facilitate data management activities, manage timelines and ensure data requirements and change is delivered for stakeholders on time. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards and other relevant policies and helping manage the Data Request Management process activities, controls and metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience interpreting, synthesizing and communicating complex information and status, tailoring communications for different stakeholder audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Facilitating, leading, supporting large engagement routines, meetings and reporting routines. Data Councils, Program and Project Steering & Operating Committees.
  • Known for developing and improving processes and routines while ensuring compliance via horizontal and vertical influence and engagement across dynamic and matrixed organizations.
  • Knowledge and experience at a global financial institution(s) (involvement in Compliance or Risk Management preferred) or regulatory background

Responsibilities

  • Works with Line of Business partners to disposition requests, identify and engage implicated data domains, applications, systems, and facilitates prioritization, planning and execution of data solutions, in partnership with Global Technology and Change Management.
  • Works directly with CFO governed report owners, Enterprise Data Domains and Global Technology teams to facilitate the documentation and delivery of business and functional requirements; artifacts and documents that drive interim and strategic solutions and planning decisions.
  • Engagement with Enterprise Change and Global Technology teams to drive remediation plans up and down the data supply chains, delivering timely resolutions and closure for data related incidents and requests.
  • Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives.
  • Develops, manages, and executes on process controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches.
  • Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often times in partnership with Technology
  • Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and processes and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
  • Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
  • Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies.
