CertiPath is focused on bringing facility and network access management for commercial clients and government agencies into the 21st century. What will the Data Management Specialist do? You will work in a fast-paced environment where you will take a hands-on approach to helping a federal agency with its nationwide Physical Security Program Office (Program). You will support several aspects of Program oversight, including monitoring progress toward meeting Program objectives, analyzing data, identifying trends, preparing reports, and communicating essential information to the Program team and its stakeholders. This position requires a highly agile and collaborative team member who will provide innovative solutions to the customer to support time-sensitive requests. The Data Management Specialist frequently engages with Program and agency leadership to present information that supports decision-making. Note: This is a fully remote position. The Data Management Specialist may occasionally be required to travel to a client site; this is not expected to exceed 2 to 3 days a month. What does a typical day look like for the Data Management Specialist?

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government clearance (or you have recently held a government clearance)
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of total experience, 2 years of which includes Data Management Specialist support for a U.S. federal client
  • The ability to research and analyze information and present it in documentation and presentations created with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint, and Visio
  • Experience developing strategies that optimize statistical efficiency, including data analyses or data collection systems
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and grammatical skills
  • The ability to work under limited supervision and in a team environment
  • Experience with business solutions, program or project management, planning, scheduling, and briefing material preparation
  • The aptitude to gather resource material from a variety of resources, including subject matter experts, engineers, and analysts
  • The ability to develop and present oral and written communications (including the neutral presentation of findings) to decision-makers

Responsibilities

  • Interact with contractor and government Program Management Office personnel to support data calls related to program budget/expenditures, project tracking, and maintenance efficacy.
  • Collaborate with the Data Management Lead to manage the data architecture for the Program, including the data models, schemas, standards, and policies that define how data is stored, processed, and used.
  • Design and implement data integration, transformation, and migration processes to ensure that data can be consolidated, cleaned, and harmonized.
  • Oversee assigned Program data and ensure that it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements.
  • Aggregate and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources for the purposes of Program reporting and improvement.
  • Using diverse data sources, develop reports as directed by the Data Management Lead; ingest and deconflict external data into Program data stores for reporting.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI to produce Program reporting and metrics.
  • Ensure that the quality of services and deliverables meets standards set in the Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Support management briefings, status reports, issue logs, risk registers, and other tasks to ensure proper operation of the PMO.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned, with a focus on Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI software.
  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational support for the Program.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Data Management Lead.
