About The Position

The Data Manager supports the storage, cataloging, transcription, and management of audio/video research data collected during cognitive interviews and focus groups conducted by CCQDER.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Data Management, or related field
  • Experience managing research data or qualitative datasets
  • Experience working with audio/video recordings
  • Knowledge of secure data storage environments
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with federal statistical agencies
  • Knowledge of survey or research data management

Responsibilities

  • Manage storage of interview recordings
  • Maintain catalog of all research video/audio data
  • Track metadata and file locations
  • Oversee transcription of interviews
  • Manage secure storage of transcripts
  • Ensure compliance with CIPSEA confidentiality requirements
  • Maintain research data documentation
  • Coordinate destruction of files when required
  • Support researchers accessing study data
