About The Position

The role of SQL Developer in Data Management (DaVita IKC) involves the preparation and organization of data obtained from external sources. The role will work primarily with medical claims, RX claims, membership and supporting data. As a SQL Developer, you will be on point for the development of database processes that feed objects and tables that are queried daily by our stakeholders. You will conduct thorough analyses on our databases to ensure standardization of fields and data across diverse sources. This position requires a keen evaluation of up and downstream impacts resulting from any modifications, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the quality and simplicity of the data structure. The SQL Developer is responsible for efficiently managing individual work streams and exhibits self-motivation to continually upskill as needed. We are seeking a candidate who is inherently driven to learn and grow within the dynamic field of data management.

Requirements

  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of SQL required
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Desire to learn best practices for data infrastructure organization
  • 1+ year of experience working with SQL preferred

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word and Outlook

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python, DDL and PL/SQL a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain SQL code to move and transform data
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify business logic and use case
  • Follow SDLC best practices and perform peer reviews
  • Read and create documentation
  • Troubleshoot and fix automation issues
  • Participate in special projects outside of the day-to-day scope on responsibility
  • Able to upskill independently
