Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Analyst (AVP) to join our Finance Transformation Office (FTO). The FTO is focused on Finance Organization wide technology & tool strategy, as well as prioritizing and executing on key modernization initiatives including a strategic data sourcing and conformance initiatives. As a member of the FTO, one will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, including thought leadership and strategy, analytical process design and optimization, workflow automation, and tools development.

  • Perform detailed data analysis and data mining to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights across financial and operational datasets.
  • Participate in analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and process/control gaps.
  • Adhere to enterprise data governance standards and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance across systems.
  • Identify and monitor data quality metrics; execute audits to benchmark and improve data quality.
  • Design and implement data governance, quality, and metadata policies, standards, and tools.
  • Support documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, and remediation updates.
  • Perform data profiling, business analysis, and data mapping to support issue remediation and root cause analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret complex product structures and hierarchies to support reconciliation, reporting, and downstream consumption.
  • Provide support for regulatory analysis and reporting requirements, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
  • Recommend and help implement initiatives to assess the quality of new data sources and their integration into enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to document and maintain metadata about systems, data elements, and controls.
  • Consult with clients and stakeholders to assess the current state of data quality and recommend improvements.
  • 2+ years of Business Analysis, Analytics, Reporting and Data Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with SQL, Python, data modeling, and tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial reporting and regulatory data requirements.
  • Familiarity with risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • A BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
