About The Position

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Senior Cognos Consultant. This is a full-time contract position (W2) with a duration of 12 months and a possible extension. The position is remote, based in New York, NY. As a Senior Cognos Consultant, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of multidimensional reports using the Cognos Analytics 11.x BI tool set. You will support Cognos users by troubleshooting report issues and enhancing reports as requested. Additionally, you will use SQL and TM1 Tools to analyze source data and investigate and resolve reporting data issues. You will work directly with business partners to gather report requirements, design and model reporting solutions, and collaborate with Cognos BI team members on large scale projects. You will also manage and maintain Cognos PowerPlay Models and Cognos cubes using Transformer builds and deployments, and apply data warehouse and business intelligence concepts and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience with all Studios and Tools within Cognos Analytics 11.x series.
• Experience with PowerPlay Transformer and PowerPlay cubes.
• Ability to create and maintain Framework Manager models.
• Familiarity with Cognos security administration.
• Familiarity with Cognos Planning Analytics TM1 and comfort using TM1 Perspectives or TM1 Architect.
• Experience with other BI tools and software like Tableau, Business Objects, Power BI, SAS, Python, DataStage.
• Experience with BI report visualizations and dashboard development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Requirements gathering abilities and ability to educate and train users on Cognos BI toolset.
• Experience with Cognos report performance tuning and best practices.
