About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Layer Engineer to join our dynamic team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data layer architecture that supports our data-driven applications and analytics platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow, Kafka, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable data layer solutions to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable data ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to integrate data sources and ensure data quality.
• Implement best practices for data modeling, storage, and retrieval to maximize performance and maintainability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data layer issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Document data layer architecture, processes, and standards.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
