We are seeking a Data Lab Technologist Energy to join our team in Richland, WA. The Digital Lab Technologist role is an exciting opportunity to work with the latest technology, including Immersive Workspaces, Extended Reality (XR) spaces, digital whiteboards, and collaboration areas, to support our clients and staff. You will also get the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders such as project managers, engineers, operations and robotics teams, to name a few, as well as our wider Nuclear digital team, located in the US and overseas.

  • Manages the availability of zones within our digital lab, ensuring the space is appropriately set up to suit requests.
  • Integrates digital equipment including 360 cameras, Lidar scanning equipment, XR/VR/AR headsets with simulations using Unity or Unreal or by developing custom applications.
  • Develops custom applications and content to support the project/stakeholder meetings and reviews.
  • Develops content for Virtual Site Access and Digital Twins including remote inspections, facility walkdown.
  • Works alongside our Technology Team, IT services and/or technology suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including any on-site hardware and software issues.
  • Identifies opportunities and new use cases with Technology Team for additional hardware or emerging technologies to be implemented.
  • Collaborates with other teams and Business Units to provide training sessions on how to use the digital lab and encouraging utilization.
  • Supports in developing, producing and delivering internal and external communications including multimedia training experiences and marketing, updating in line with feedback, learning from experience and implementation of new technology.
  • Ensures data is accessible and compliant with information assurance and cyber security protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management & Technology, or Innovation and Change Management.
  • Good programming language and analysis skills (e.g. Python, R, Java C+, C# etc.)
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure etc.) and version Control (Git, GitHub etc.)
  • Experience with Data Visualization (e.g. Tableau, Power BI etc.)
  • Experience with Databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.)
  • Familiar with IDEs and Code Editors (e.g. Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, Eclipse etc.)
  • Familiar with Machine Learning/AI Frameworks.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
