About The Position

Bosun is partnering with the Beaufort County Treasurer’s Office to hire a Data Integration Specialist to support data reporting, analytics, and system integrations. This position is ideal for a data analyst or business intelligence professional with strong SQL and Power BI experience who enjoys building dashboards, integrating data across systems, and improving reporting processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent certification/experience)
  • 2+ years of SQL experience working with relational databases
  • Experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and database design
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or data visualization
  • Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, reporting)
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical users
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SSRS reporting
  • Experience with data integration or ETL processes
  • Familiarity with data governance, data validation, or reconciliation
  • Experience working in government, finance, or public sector organizations

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for reporting, analytics, and ad hoc data requests
  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations for internal stakeholders
  • Manage data integrations between internal systems and external vendors
  • Build reusable reporting tools such as SSRS reports and standardized data models
  • Validate and reconcile large datasets to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Support data reporting cycles by maintaining reliable data pipelines and reporting workflows
  • Document data processes, integration workflows, and reporting standards
  • Partner with internal departments to gather reporting requirements and deliver solutions
  • Provide guidance on data visualization and reporting best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and system integrations
