Job Description IAT Insurance Group has an opening for a Data & Integration Intern within our Data Management Business Unit in our Rolling Meadows, IL, Naperville, IL or Milwaukee, WI location for the summer of 2026. This role offers hands-on experience working with data pipelines, integration tools, and enterprise systems to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient data flow across platforms. The anticipated start date for this internship is May 26th. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

Requirements

  • Rising undergraduate junior or senior.
  • Major in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study.
  • Experience with writing SQL queries
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Independent worker: can work proficiently for short periods with limited direction.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and business domains; curious personality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and ability to communicate at right level of detail based on audience.
  • Comfortable working both virtually and in-person with peers.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by employer, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources (policy, claims, underwriting, CRM systems)
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency before integration
  • Generate reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders using tools like SQL, Excel, or BI platforms.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies or integration failures
  • Work closely with IT, Data Engineering, and Business teams to understand integration requirements
  • Follow company protocols for secure data transfer and storage
  • Perform other duties as assigned
