Job Summary: As Data Integrations Director at Envestnet, you will serve as a technical and strategic leader, driving the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data integration solutions. You will oversee complex data engineering initiatives, mentor a team of data engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless, secure, and high-quality data flows supporting financial systems and advanced analytics. This role demands deep technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a forward-thinking approach to data architecture in the financial services industry.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data integration, ETL development, or a related role, preferably in financial services or wealth management.
  • Advanced proficiency with integration platforms (e.g., Workato, Zapier, MuleSoft, Tray.ai, Apache NiFi) and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Oracle, Snowflake).
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL for building and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Experience with API development and management (REST, SOAP) and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
  • Deep knowledge of database systems (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of cloud integration tools and services (e.g., AWS Glue, BigQuery, Domo, Azure Data Factory).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Data Integration Development: Design, build, and maintain robust data integration pipelines and ELT/ETL processes to connect disparate systems, including internal financial platforms, third-party applications, and client data sources.
  • Solution Architecture: Architect scalable, high-performance data solutions, integrating financial platforms, third-party applications, and client data sources.
  • System Connectivity: Implement and optimize APIs, webhooks, and other integration methods to ensure real-time and batch data flows between Envestnet's systems and external partners.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Establish and enforce best practices for data validation, cleansing, and compliance with Envestnet's governance standards and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, SEC).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, analysts, business stakeholders, and technology teams to translate business needs into technical solutions that support analytics, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Lead efforts to monitor and optimize integration workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability, minimizing latency and ensuring high availability.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert guidance and escalation support for complex data integration issues, providing timely support to internal teams and external partners to maintain operational continuity.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for integration processes, data mappings, and system configurations to support team collaboration and compliance audits.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all data integrations adhere to industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SEC requirements) and Envestnet's security protocols to protect sensitive financial data.
  • Innovation & Technology Adoption: Evaluate and implement emerging data integration technologies and tools, driving continuous improvement in Envestnet's data ecosystem.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
