As a Data Governance Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining governance frameworks that ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of procurement and spend-related data across the organization. This role focuses on managing procurement taxonomies, standardizing supplier and category data, and ensuring high-quality reporting to support strategic sourcing, financial planning, and operational decision-making. The impact you will make in this role: Lead the development and maintenance of procurement data governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide standards and procurement operations. Own and evolve the procurement taxonomy, including supplier categorizations, spend categories, commodity structures, and classification rules (e.g., UNSPSC or internal taxonomies). Ensure consistent application of taxonomy standards across systems such as ERP, procurement platforms, supplier onboarding systems, and spend analytics tools. Develop and enforce data quality rules for procurement and spend data (e.g., supplier naming conventions, category mapping, contract linkages). Monitor spend data quality, identify issues (e.g., misclassification, duplicates, missing attributes), and drive remediation and process improvements. Collaborate with procurement, finance, analytics, IT, and supplier management teams to understand reporting needs and ensure data is structured to support strategic insights. Support the design and maintenance of spend analytics dashboards and reporting, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with governance standards. Develop data lineage documentation describing how procurement and spend data flows from source systems through transformation layers to reporting outputs. Contribute to master data management (MDM) for supplier, contract, and category data, ensuring unified standards and ownership. Provide guidance, training, and governance oversight to business users involved in category management, sourcing, supplier onboarding, and procurement operations. Serve as a subject-matter expert for procurement data definitions, business rules, and reporting logic. Lead root-cause analysis for procurement data issues, partnering with technical and business teams to implement sustainable fixes. Support compliance and audit requirements by ensuring procurement and spend data is complete, traceable, and well-documented. Drive continuous improvements in procurement data structures, classification processes, and data governance tooling.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years' experience in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Microsoft Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service) and data modeling.
  • At least 2 years' experience with integration technologies such as REST APIs, Azure Data Factory, JSON and custom connectors, including HTTP Protocols to call and consume REST APIs.
  • At least 2 years' experience in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting using Snowflake.
  • Fluent in English for professional verbal and written communication.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) and Dynamics 365.
  • Proficient with Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with advanced Power Platform features and custom development.
