The Data Governance Manager supports ERP implementation, enterprise data governance, and ongoing business transformation initiatives. This position is critical to ensuring accurate, consistent, and well-governed customer, supplier, and item master data across the enterprise system architecture. The ideal candidate will bring strong collaboration skills, a disciplined approach to data stewardship, and experience building sustainable data governance practices that support reliable operations, continuous improvement, and scalable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems, master data management, and data governance principles
  • 5 + years of hands-on experience with data migration, ETL processes, and system integrations
  • Ability to define and implement data standards in a complex, fast-moving environment
  • Sharp analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Comfortable working across both business and technical teams, and able to translate between the two
  • Clear, confident communicator in writing and in person
  • Well-organized and thorough when it comes to documentation
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Infor M3) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work cross functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience in the chemical process manufacturing and distribution industry.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, DOMO, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
  • Infor ION and reporting tools
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Data Governance & Stewardship Professional (DGSP) certifications

Responsibilities

  • Own data quality end-to-end. You'll be the go-to person for enterprise data governance and stewardship, with a particular focus on our ERP systems.
  • Drive our ERP implementation forward by making sure data governance practices are solid and supporting the transformation every step of the way.
  • Establish clear ownership for primary and secondary data so everyone knows who's responsible for what.
  • Lead data migration and cleansing efforts, from validating and standardizing data to managing the conversion from legacy systems.
  • Work hand-in-hand with implementation teams on data mapping, transformation logic, ETL processes, and large-scale data updates.
  • Set the standard. You'll define data naming conventions, definitions, and classification structures that the whole organization can rely on.
  • Build and maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and catalogs so information is always easy to find and understand.
  • Put the right guardrails in place through governance policies, workflows, and access controls that protect data integrity and security.
  • Keep an eye on data quality over time and step in to fix issues before they become bigger problems.
  • Be a trusted partner to business stakeholders (business users, implementation team, functional consultants, steering committee, company leadership) helping them resolve data issues and making sure data reflects real business needs.
  • Spot opportunities to simplify. If something is more complicated than it needs to be, you'll find it and fix it.
  • Help the whole team level up by educating colleagues on data ownership and governance best practices.
