The Data Governance Engineer is responsible for the overall availability and usability of the NGINX data. Aspects of this role include guiding the data documentation and cataloguing of NGINX data in collaboration with the program manager, contributing to the design and implementation of a data governance process, and representing the Data team in those activities. The role also involves contributing to the design and build of the data layer(s) for the NGINX product telemetry, designing and implementing the transformations, quality checks, and pipelines for populating the data models, and contributing to the design and implementation of the curations and transformations required for product and business analyses. Additionally, the Data Governance Engineer will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to build modeling and analytics pipelines.
