As a Governance Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our Data Governance team, driving the development of our rapidly growing governance platform. Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated background in data governance, data management, or a similar area.
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of data governance tools and platforms.
• Analytical Skills: Outstanding problem-solving abilities demonstrated through thorough attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience in hands-on software engineering, including coding in multiple programming languages to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of large-scale data governance platforms.
• Proven ability to design, build, and extend cloud-based portals and backup platforms, with a focus on data discovery, classification, labeling, and cost mitigation strategies such as stale data removal and innovative database snapshot management
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate with multi-functional teams.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Product Ownership: Serve as the product owner for our governance platform, leading its growth and development.
• Collaborator Partnership: Partner with various business units to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
• Capability Building: Develop and implement additional capabilities to improve the governance platform.
• Strategy Implementation: Successfully implement governance strategies that ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
• Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities for process improvements and apply standard methodologies in data governance.
• Documentation and Training: Build and maintain comprehensive documentation and provide training to users on governance policies and procedures.
