About The Position

The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing processes related to metadata management, reference data management and data quality monitoring. This position is expected to have hands-on experience with technology, people and process that are critical for the success of Data Governance program. This position is expected to have an advanced understanding of Data Governance principles and processes. This role will directly report to the Data Governance Manager, performing analysis on a variety of highly complex projects under minimal supervision and typically leading complex initiatives or projects. This role will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours. We are committed to offering flexible work options where approved and stated in the job posting. This role may be hired on as a Data Governance Analyst-Senior, or Data Governance Analyst-Consultant, depending on qualifications and experience. Data Governance Analyst-Senior Pay Range: $43.92-$69.16 This position will drive business driven, technology-enabled provider and location master data management efforts. Specific responsibilities include: Set system of record/source of truth strategy; Identify data owners/stewards, define/approve standards & definitions, and drive adherence—especially for provider/location attributes and code sets. Align clinical, operations, and analytics stakeholders to a shared roadmap and outcomes; Facilitate conversations and workshop skills to surface pain points, reconcile definitions, and prioritize use cases Guide MDM platform and operating model decisions to deliver sustainable, measurable outcomes. Data Governance Analyst-Consultant Pay Range: $54.12-$85.20 This is a highly hands-on, technically strong role focused on building integrations, configuring Collibra at depth, and operationalizing enterprise data governance through automation. Specific responsibilities include: Build bi-directional integrations between Collibra and other systems such as Databricks, Epic, ServiceNow etc. Implement and maintain governance processes using Collibra workflow capabilities and automation patterns. Design and configure the governance operating model and asset metamodel in Collibra to support Intermountain’s business needs and data culture. Establish governed definitions for business terms and metrics across the enterprise by engaging

Requirements

  • Experience in performing key Data Governance work such as data cataloging, data lineage, data classification, reference data management, and business glossary management
  • Experience with system and data integration via API
  • Experience with major Electronic Health Record (EHR) vended solutions and deep understanding of the backend data architecture and data modeling
  • Advanced SQL skills and proficient knowledge about database design, ETL processes and data mapping
  • Experience with data quality monitoring data quality improvement
  • Experience as a “team player” and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across and at all levels within the organization
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in independently managing and accomplishing key Data Governance work such as data cataloging, data classification, data lineage, business glossary management, and data stewardship operationalization
  • Experience with modern enterprise data platforms such as Databricks and knowledge about data warehousing, data lakehouse, and ETL processes
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and metric definition and calculation
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining cloud-native applications
  • Must be able to demonstrate good understanding of how the clinical and administrative data are produced, consumed, and transformed
  • Experience with implementing enterprise data quality framework
  • Experience in Data Governance committees and the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders across and at all levels within the organization
  • Strong presentation skills, particularly in the development of compelling and insightful visual support materials
