About The Position

The HR Data Governance Analyst at Fidelity Investments plays a crucial role in enhancing the company's data governance practices. This position involves collaborating with various teams across the enterprise to drive data governance initiatives, ensuring data quality, privacy, and compliance. The analyst will manage the HR data governance program, set governance roadmaps, and provide technical leadership while contributing to the overall data strategy of the organization.

Requirements

  • Exposure to Data Management practices including data governance, data catalogue, data privacy, data quality, and data lineage.
  • Experience supporting and collaborating with multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with data analysis and the data lifecycle.
  • Experience in relationship building and the ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate across the enterprise.
  • Experience working in various data councils, with data owners, data stewards, and data custodians.
  • Experience leading projects with new and emerging technology and products in the early strategy and design stage.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Data Management tools such as Collibra, Alation, BigID.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services like EC2, EMR, Snowflake, Elastic-Search.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented/object function scripting languages such as Python, Java, C++, Scala.
  • Experience with data tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the HR data governance program, coordinating key meetings and documenting decisions.
  • Set the governance roadmap and collaborate with business and technology partners to drive Fidelity's Data Strategy forward.
  • Provide technical leadership and support in data and solutioning to team members.
  • Recognize opportunities to bring process or technology to deliver innovative solutions to meet business challenges.
  • Understand detailed requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Take ownership and accountability while adapting to a changing workload.
