Key Responsibilities: A Data/ETL Tester is responsible for validating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with business requirements. This role involves designing test plans, executing test cases, and collaborating with developers, data engineers, and analysts to maintain high-quality data pipelines.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of ETL Testing Experience
- Proficiency in SQL and database concepts.
- Experience with ETL tools
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
- Analyze Requirements: Review business requirements and data mapping documents to define test objectives.
- Design Test Plans: Create detailed ETL test plans, test cases, and test data for structured testing.
- Validate ETL Processes: Ensure data is correctly extracted, transformed, and loaded into target systems.
- Execute SQL Queries: Perform backend database testing and data verification.
- Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or HP ALM; work with development teams for resolution.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed test reports and maintain test repositories.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to data governance and quality standards.
