Position Summary Coordinates data entry support activities to assist in ensuring organizational reporting objectives are met. Conducts data entry and data verification tasks to facilitate administrative operations and information management/retrieval processes. Follows established procedures while working under general supervision to complete routine support tasks for the Data Entry function. Develops effective relationships with all team members to promote a collaborative work culture, ensure the timely resolution of issues, and prevent delays in service. Enters alpha and numeric data using key-to-disk standalone equipment, PCs, and other data entry terminals. Prepares data entry work to be processed by gathering, sorting, organizing, and releasing documents. Maintains and demonstrates a functional knowledge of data entry devices, applications, job formats, and system commands. Adheres to strict privacy guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and data protection laws to ensure that sensitive information is appropriately maintained and protected. Maintains electronic data files to ensure that all member information is up-to-date and easily accessible to authorized healthcare professionals. Ensures data accuracy by cross-referencing data with physical documents and/or communicating with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or missing information. Assists with general administrative tasks such as filing documents, organizing records, and responding to inquiries related to assigned collections of data.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • 2 years experience working with Microsoft Excel and its core functions.
  • High school diploma or 1 year equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year prior relevant work experience.
