About The Position

HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Data Entry Clerk to provide temporary staff support services to the DC Department of Health. The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for preparing and processing source documents for computer and database entry. This involves keying in customer and account data, resolving discrepancies, verifying accuracy, and maintaining data entry requirements by following program techniques and procedures.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry.
  • Experience preparing and sorting data for entry.
  • Proficiency in entering both alphabetic and numeric information accurately.
  • Ability to review data for deficiencies and resolve discrepancies.
  • Strong attention to detail for verifying and correcting data.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare source data for computer and/or database entry by compiling and sorting information.
  • Process customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies.
  • Resolve discrepancies using standard procedures or by returning incomplete documents for resolution.
  • Enter customer and account data by keying in alphabetic and numeric information.
  • Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
  • Secure information by completing database backups.
  • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; report needed changes and keep information confidential.
