About The Position

AECOM Hunt is looking to grow our Digital Engineering team with the addition of a Data Engineer. This position will work in our Phoenix, AZ office. The Data Engineering Specialist will: Ensure data is accessible, reliable, and efficiently processed. Combine, optimize, and manage multiple big data sources. Create automated reporting systems. Provide software solutions that move data from its source to an internal database such as data warehouse/data lake. Implement data frameworks and/or architectures. Design, develop and maintain data pipelines to enable strong data analysis and reporting Utilize a myriad of solutions to ensure problem resolution with data warehousing and data sources. Requirements

  • BA/BS Computer Science, Information Science, Data Engineering or related field and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in data programming languages
  • Knowledge of data optimization tools, data structures and architecting, data warehousing solutions
  • Knowledge of API (application programming interface) support to allow for data access/gathering/distribution, data transformation and ELT (extract, load, transform)
  • Utilization of algorithmic and statistical assessments, data processing tools and approaches (including AI) in support of data consumption.
  • Strong experience in creating resourceful dashboards which effectively represent data from various data streams such as using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics development.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and analytical databases.
  • Proficiency in Python (or similar scripting language).
  • Familiarity with programs such as CMiC, Workday, Oracle, Bridgit Bench, SmartRecruiters, Blue Beam, Navisworks or other construction related software.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
