As a Data Engineer Sr Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of fighting fraud waste and abuse. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timeliness of data submissions and production loads along with the team. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: Lead a team of data engineers responsible for the operational processes and data quality. Collaborate with downstream stakeholders, external customers and vendors to ensure the effectiveness and capabilities of the data warehouse continue to meet the needs of the contract. Drive innovation by identifying and implementing solutions to reduce bottlenecks and improve efficiency across data warehouse ETL processes, ensuring faster, more reliable, and scalable data operations. Utilize your experience in technology and healthcare to drive the contract mission forward Provide strategic leadership for Trusted Third Party (TTP) data warehouse encompassing infrastructure, security, and data operations, leading a team of five individual contributors Oversee data warehouse operations, including ETL processes, BI systems, business requirements documentation, and system change management. Lead and architect modernization initiatives aligned with CMS’s Technical Reference Architecture (TRA), SDLC, TLC, and XLC frameworks. Operational oversight and support of the Cloud data warehouse deployment, AWS services and dashboards including infrastructure, security, and data operations within an AWS FedRAMP deployment. Standardize processes for data acquisition, transformation, and harmonization across the myriad of data sharing partners. Apply Agile, SAFe, and DevSecOps principles to system design, program management, and operational delivery. Provide oversight for programmatic data domains: Claims, Member, Provider, and Medicaid; ensure accuracy, modernize ETL processes, and enhance analytical capabilities. Act as primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders; facilitate calls, written analyses, and executive-level communications. Responsible for change management across the data systems, and program operations. Provide technical input and business requirements for cross-component initiatives including pilots and final action algorithm modernization.

  • 10+ years of related experience leading a data engineering team.

  • Experience leading and architecting modernization initiatives.
  • Availability for occasional on-site customer meetings
