About The Position
The Applications Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. This role is situated within a critical Risk and Finance group that focuses on Data, where the applications developed play a vital role in serving multiple use cases for Market Risk, Credit Risk, Price Risk and Control, Finance, Front Office, and internal reconciliations functions. The data requirements are diverse, ranging from low retention/low latency needs for fast compute purposes to deep retention/acceptable latency with a strong emphasis on data quality and standards. Currently, the data stack is fragmented across multiple data instances, and the group is moving towards a convergence strategy aimed at consolidating data points into a strategic set of data instances. The primary objective of hiring for this role is to ensure effective leadership in driving and executing this convergence strategy forward.
