About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead - Data Engineering to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of data engineering solutions that support our business objectives. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or technical lead role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar.
  • Expertise in designing and managing data warehouses and databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink).
  • Knowledge of machine learning workflows and integration with data pipelines.
  • Certification in cloud platforms or data engineering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and architectures to support data integration, transformation, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of data engineering best practices, including data governance, security, and quality standards.
  • Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the data engineering ecosystem.
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of data systems and processes.
  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other teams to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics.
