About The Position

This internship is a full-time, 12-week program (40 hours per week) running from May through August. Interns will gain hands-on professional experience by contributing to meaningful projects that have a direct impact on the business. The program will conclude with a presentation to the senior leadership team, highlighting both the project outcomes and the overall internship experience. Throughout the summer, interns will also gain broad exposure to the organization and its operations. At LCS, experience is everything. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
  • Student completing Master’s degree preferred or a minimum of 2 years completed towards bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a mission-driven organization.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week program.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain software solutions that meet department/functional needs and create operational efficiencies.
  • Work with enterprise data sets, different types of reporting, visualization, and analytics software.
  • Code, troubleshoot bugs, test fixes, and verify both data integrity and functionality based on need and client feedback.
  • Research new and innovative BI capabilities and effectively apply them to enhance the company’s analytic abilities.
  • Work with team members to develop and document data mappings, workflows, and other data maintenance procedures.
  • Contribute to real projects that will be implemented within the organization.
  • Collaborate with leaders and team members across departments.
  • Participate in professional development and networking opportunities.
  • Present your project and summer experience to the senior leadership team at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Gain a broad understanding of the industry and operations through mentorship, training, and shadowing opportunities.
