About The Position

Keysight is looking for a college intern who is passionate about data and excited about building the foundation for modern analytics. As a Data Engineering Intern, you will support our Data & Analytics team in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and systems that enable trusted, scalable insights across the company. This role primarily focuses on learning and contributing to projects in our Snowflake-first data ecosystem, assisting with data ingestion and transformation, and helping ensure data quality and governance. You will gain exposure to state-of-the-art tools in cloud data platforms, semantic layers, and data cataloging.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL; exposure to Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Understanding of cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Currently enrolled in college with a major in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • May consider business majors with an Information Systems or Data Analytics concentration.
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as of September 2026.
  • Applicants who have graduated before September 2026 will not be considered unless they are starting a MS or PhD program after graduating.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines using SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
  • Support ingestion and transformation of structured and semi-structured data into Snowflake.
  • Participate in projects involving data modeling, semantic layers, and metadata management.
  • Contribute to data quality checks and validation to ensure trusted and reliable reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics and reporting needs.
  • Explore opportunities for process automation and performance optimization in data workflows.
  • Additional learning opportunities in modern data engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Atlan/Alation, Tableau) as available.

Benefits

  • California Pay Range: $29.01-31.24 per hour based on experience, education, and skills.
  • Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
