About The Position

We are seeking a Data Engineer with 4 to 10 years of experience to join our team in Deerfield, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and troubleshooting data pipelines within the Microsoft Azure environment. This role requires hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Azure Datalake, and Snowflake, as well as proficiency in SQL and PowerShell. The Data Engineer will be responsible for creating and managing notebooks in ADF and Databricks, providing support for business users, and ensuring the smooth operation of data pipelines.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting Data Pipelines in Microsoft Azure environment.
• Hands-on exposure to ADF and Databricks.
• Data Engineer Certification in Azure and/or Databricks is preferred.
• Technical skillset to query data from Azure Datalake and Snowflake environments.

Responsibilities

• L1, L2, L3 Support for Microsoft Azure environment including ADF, Databricks, Azure Datalake, Snowflake, SQL, Powershell & Power BI.
• Creating and managing notebooks in ADF and Databricks for scheduled and ad hoc jobs and necessary automation.
• Creating Powershell scripts, SQL, and need-based exploration and problem solving on Power BI Reports & Dashboards.
• Managing the expectations of Business Users and Walgreens IT managers.
• Providing resolution to tickets as per standard SLA and necessary UAT for business users.
• Need-based upgrades of regular patches and end of life software licenses for Databricks and other Azure Components.
