Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a disciplined and talented data engineer who is passionate about solving problems and improving the lives of people. At SEL, we develop critical products that serve as the main interface for protecting, controlling, monitoring, and analyzing the power grid. Our team supports a wide variety of internal customers, including Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales. We are looking for a well-rounded individual to collaborate with us in building scalable data solutions that delight our customers and enhance their day-to-day lives. As a Data Engineer, your typical day might include designing normalized, relational data models and/or dimensional models for OLTP and OLAP systems. You will collaborate with stakeholders to build enterprise reporting models, design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that move data from various sources while ensuring that the data is accurate, consistent, and secure. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering and optimizing our data solutions for performance and scalability. You will build solutions using technologies such as SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Stream Analytics, SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI Premium.
