Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Data Engineer for our client in the Financial Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

  • Perform data transformation work using Core Java language.
  • Build batch/backend applications using Spring Batch/Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Develop applications that run in AWS, focusing on AWS Batch, S3, IAM.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries (ANSI SQL, Oracle, Snowflake).
  • Utilize Unix shell scripting and scheduling/orchestration tools.
  • Work with business partners to enhance user experience and provide curated data.
  • Enable ingestion of new financial products into the data ecosystem.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technology related field.
  • 4+ years of Java development utilizing Spring frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience developing applications in AWS.
  • 2+ years working with SQL (ANSI SQL, Oracle, Snowflake).
  • 1+ years of Python development.
  • Experience with Unix shell scripting (bash, ksh).
  • Strong data modeling skills with experience in 3NF and Star Schema.
  • Proven data analysis skills.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL query optimization.
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM).
  • Experience building and deploying containerized applications using Docker.
