As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-value data products, including data pipelines, data marts, data warehouse improvements, data integration processes, and other solutions. You will consult with product owners on business requirements to help support Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders on their data-focused initiatives and projects. Your role will involve actively contributing to an environment of innovation and collaboration to help ensure the continued success of the Data Services department. Your job duties will include designing and implementing data pipelines, data marts, data warehouses, and other data products to meet both functional and non-functional business requirements. You will identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, which will include automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability. Additionally, you will conduct and/or coordinate tests to ensure that products and services are consistent with defined needs. Handling on-call duties will be part of your responsibilities, where you will fix production issues in a timely manner to ensure the team meets their service-level agreements (SLAs) and effectively communicates about production issues when they occur. You will also maintain project documents, templates, document specifications, and other reusable knowledge assets. Ensuring that deliverables adhere to defined data standards, data models, and definitions will be crucial, as will actively contributing to data governance and master data management initiatives.
