This role requires hybrid work in our Stamford, CT or Parsippany, NY office.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a data analyst, analytics engineer, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data manipulation and analytics (e.g., pandas, NumPy, or similar).
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL (complex joins, aggregations, performance tuning).
  • Solid understanding of data pipelines and high-level analytics architecture.
  • Comfortable working in an agile / sprint-based development model.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data quality and detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, especially Small Commercial lines.
  • Experience working with relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with underwriting, exposure data, or rating variables.
  • Exposure to machine learning or AI-driven analytics environments (model inputs, monitoring, or validation).
  • Experience supporting production analytics or reporting systems.
  • Familiarity With version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and manipulate data from various sources including internal and external data to be optimal for analysis by product analysts/actuaries/data scientists.
  • Clean and maintain data models and pipelines using Python and SQL to help develop and improve Artificial Intelligence Insurance Underwriting and Audit models.
  • Write and maintain scripts to test various artificial intelligence algorithms including testing use of AI Agents
