This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions. Use knowledge of software engineering, computing technology, programming languages, and software life cycles to develop, program, maintain, and integrate computing applications including company-developed and commercial off-the-shelf software. Consolidates and analyzes diverse data sets including structured and unstructured data. Develops algorithms, dashboards, and queries to model datasets. Keeps abreast of new analytic methodologies and technologies. Collaborates with functional business units to drive business solutions and direction. Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data using off-the-shelf software and writing new code to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage. Uses statistical software to perform statistical analysis. Collects, analyzes and interprets numerical data from various sources. Prepares conclusions and predictions based on data summaries. Devises modeling and measuring techniques; utilizes mathematics, statistical methods, operational mathematics, and machine learning techniques.
