Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Group has an opening for a Data Engineer. The Data Engineer supports the organization’s data needs by ensuring secure, reliable, accurate, and accessible data across all business units. This includes stewardship and maintenance of enterprise data assets, modeling and integration of data from systems of record, and support for analytical and reporting capabilities. Data team members partner directly with business units, business analysts, and data stewards to interpret requirements, ensure data accuracy and governance, and deliver high quality analytics solutions. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the enterprise data stack using both on premises and cloud native components, with a goal of being entirely cloud native in the future. Data Engineer II • Applies SQL Server and data warehousing concepts to develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring data accuracy and quality. • Participates in building and maintaining ETL pipelines, data warehouse structures, data quality rules, and metadata. • Assists in the operation and enhancement of Data Quality and MDM processes. • Works with minimal assistance and contributes to improvements in data reliability and accessibility. Senior Data Engineer • Applies expert level data engineering practices to design and optimize enterprise data models and ETL architectures, perform advanced SQL performance tuning, and implement data mastering solutions to ensure scalable, high quality data. • Leads efforts to establish source of truth datasets and governance practices. • Manages projects and tasks independently and mentors Data Engineers and Analysts. • Demonstrates high quality work and serves as a technical leader in the data domain.
