About The Position

As a Data Engineer at Capgemini, you will play a critical role in building and scaling modern data platforms across AWS cloud ecosystems. You will work extensively with Snowflake and Python-based data pipelines, delivering high-quality, reliable, and performant data solutions. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to enterprise-scale data modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong Snowflake development experience, including: Schema design Data transformations UDFs Query and performance optimization
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience handling large-scale, distributed datasetsHands-on experience with AWS Cloud servicesExperience with ETL orchestration frameworks (e.g., Redwood, Apache Airflow)
  • Ability to work with complex data models, metadata management, and pipeline debuggingSolid understanding of data lakehouse architectures and modern data engineering patternsWorking knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Snowflake and Python
  • Develop high-performance data transformations using Python, SnowSQL, and related tools
  • Implement Snowflake ingestion and transformation frameworks, including: Snowpipe Streams and Tasks Performance tuning and optimization
  • Manage large, complex datasets while ensuring: Data reliability Data quality Reusability and scalability
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data engineering solutions Apply best practices for:
  • CI/CD
  • Code versioning
  • Testing and deployment within cloud environments
  • Ensure adherence to security, governance, and data quality standardsSupport ongoing development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise data platforms
